However, it doesn’t get much better than this! With Bloggerali, you can easily design your own unique, awesome, and very personal blog, and customize your blog with dozens of amazing tools.
If you’re a newbie blogger, I’d recommend a few things before beginning. Firstly, consider building a good and solid foundation on your blog by testing out a couple of themes. When I’m blogging, I like to test out a couple of different themes and blog formats. Themes have so many different options. I usually use a few themes that I like and then experiment with a few different blog layouts.
Another tip is to try to avoid spam things. This is where I sometimes get stuck. I get caught up in the mindset of “if I’m not getting banned, then it must be okay.” Nothing could be further from the truth. Obviously, trying to avoid all spam activities is great, but the spam actions are much harder to combat. A major way to combat spam action is to check the SPAM’s tab in your Blogger, and the Spambox sidebar.
One more thing you can do is to go to the SPAMs tab and see what’s been posted there lately. See if the blog posts are spam or not. If they are, quickly delete them. This will help keep your blog clean and will only add to the value of your blog.
One other thing you should try is to check out some of the more interesting ways to advertise your blog. I think one of the most effective ways to advertise your blog is by using social media networks such as Twitter, Facebook, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc. Let’s say you’re a newbie blogger who prefers to focus on having fun rather than money, a great way to drive traffic to your blog is by promoting a social media campaign.
For example, you could post a link to a blog post on Twitter or to a web article that gets a high number of “thumbs up” from people that want to find more information about a particular topic. When you post these web articles on Twitter, Digg, StumbleUpon, etc, you’ll see a huge spike in traffic to your blog.
Another way to promote your blog is to get your blog listed in an RSS feed, in a web-article feed, or in an email newsletter. By listing your blog in these feeds, you’ll be able to promote your blog and get a lot of attention in the social media sites. On top of all that, by getting your blog listed in the RSSfeeds, you can track the amount of traffic coming to your blog by subscribing to the RSS feeds and/or websites.
Another favorite method for many of us is to submit articles to WordPress. Of course, I suggest that you submit any article to multiple sites, including Blogger, instead of just to one. This way, you can build a list of subscribers that will become future subscribers to your blog.
